Ancil Hoffman is an eighteen-hole, par 72 public golf course that is nearly 6,800 yards in length from the championship tees. Cherry Island, one of the County of Sacramento`s three championship golf courses, opened for public play on June 1, 1990. The course was designed by Robert Muir Graves to challenge golfers of every ability level. The unique layout of the course (adjacent to two tributaries of Dry Creek and Sierra Creek) is part of a natural ecosystem of heritage blue oak woodlands, riparian forest, native grasslands, and vernal pools.
Cordova Golf Course originally constructed in 1958 is a full service facility featuring practice putting green, lighted driving range, Stu's Bar and Grill, pro-shop, club repair, private and group lessons. The course is 18 holes, open to the public, and features cart paths, a practice putting green, lighted driving range, 3 lakes and lots of trees.
The 18-hole "Diamond Oaks" course at the Diamond Oaks Municipal Golf Course facility in Roseville, California features 6,283 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 69.1 and it has a slope rating of 118. Designed by Ted Robinson, ASGCA, the Diamond Oaks golf course opened in 1963. Scott Prenez manages the course as the General Manager.
This is an executive course built on rolling terrain. There are twelve par 3's that measure more than 200 yards. The fairways are narrow and tree lined. The course is predominantly flat on the back nine and hilly on the front nine. Water hazards come into play on six holes, and sand bunkers come into play on almost every hole throughout the course. The greens are fairly small, sloped and generally fast.

The popularity of the nine-hole Sierra Pines course is due to its multiple tees which make it a different course every time it’s played.
Timber Creek Golf Course has just received the honor of Sacramento's #1 public golf course by the Sacramento Business Journal. Timber Creek is an eighteen-hole Billy Casper/Greg Nash designed course divided into two nines with distinct personalities over its 6,510-yard championship layout. On the front nine, called The Lakes, water comes into play on six holes. The back nine called The Oaks, winds through many of the development’s 150-200 year old heritage oak trees.
